I would like to add my share of kudos to Ron S., zuma, and others who made this year's conference a big hit in the Big Apple.
It seems as though the terms "Checksperts" and "Checksters" have somehow evolved into deriding titles on this thread, but I have had the pleasure and opportunity over the past two years to personally meet a number of the individuals who are ostensibly referred to as such, and I know them to be people of high integrity and honor, not to mention incredibly bright and insightful. I refer to Benny, zuma, Big Al, Brooks, Sam Biller, and several others who have been material contributors to this thread. I want to personally thank these guys and others for the "Checkspertise" they bring here everyday because I truly appreciate their efforts.
By the way, for those who may be wondering, Rob C. showed up at the conference fully clothed. He did shave his head, though apparently mourning the no-show status of Tlindt. It is sometimes surprising to match faces with posters, but not with Rob C.he looks just like you might expect. He was the evening's entertainment for those of us that stayed out late Saturday night. Thanks, Rob.
I especially enjoyed visiting with p_friend and his wife in New York. Friend is a pHD, a company CEO, and a closet Checkspert himself. Come on out once in awhile and share your insights with the thread, Friend! We can all benefit from your input!
Of course, the weekend wouldn't have been the same without Bob Gintel, whose very presence adds dignity and credibility. Thanks for being there, Bob, and thanks for your contributions of wisdom to the thread.
See y'all next year! Maybe in Las Vegas? Or Lake Tahoe? Or did we decide to go to Michigan? |
