You might want to take a look at an article in yesterdays Denver Rocky Mountain News about ATT: Interactive television may make its way into homes next year. It discusses the new look and feel of cable. It also states they are using the General Instrument DCT 5000.
Another paragraph talks about integrating Windows Ce and Java for use in advanced set top boxes. They are also trying to make those languages work with Excite Athome's high speed internet service and TV Guide navigator.
Guess where most of the testing is being done???? Arapahoe County the home of Liberty Media....
Last paragraph: I'd love to have retail boxes for Christmas 2000.
It is a very interesting article on the future of IATV's big brother and IATV. Just my opinion
