There is a clock on Canal Street, in front of Maison Blanche department store, that everyone who wants to meet anyone in downtown New Orleans meets under.

The charm of New Orleans is that nothing of value ever changes. Other things may change, but nothing worthwhile ever does.

O'Toole's secret tragedy was that he was gay . . . . which is OK in New Orleans, but he was Irish Catholic, and he couldn't handle it.
