Griese is now no. 1 for the Broncos, with growing pains expectation. Rightfully so, as impressive as he has performed during pre-season. Sure he played against second stringers. However, I doubt Bubby could have produced nearly the same results. Thus Brister is no. 2, same as last year, to give any needed sparks to the offense. Miller is the no. 3, as I always expected, due to his fragile nature. Miller has glass chin or head, and can't take a hit. Brister is pure and simple a great backup. Griese is the present and future of the Broncos. I think Brister will gracefully accept his role. No choice here, no market value either. Nobody else wants him, except the Broncos. Griese, under tutelage of Kubiak and Shanahan, is likely to have a very decent year. He has much more grits, more mobility, more mental toughness and awareness, and possess superb peripheral vision to complement his less than superstar physical talent. Best of luck to the Broncos. I think Broncos will still come out on top in AFC West conference. Seahawks will be much tougher this year, as will San Diego. Leaf, contrary to my initial high expectations, will be Brister type, if at all. Oakland and KC will finish at the rear of the conference.
