A few things:
- Intel does occasional redeployments - every company in this industry does. The difference is that this is a BIG one - other wise I wouldn't have heard it.
- It is kind of like the regular price cuts Intel does - the difference last time was that it was a big one - steeper and earlier than expected.
- It had to do with your comment that K7 was a niche product. I just wanted to point why I believe the senior Intel management thinks otherwise.
