"I'm just talking hype-factor."

That phrase accurately describes the stock price of JNPR, which is based on nothing more than hype and dreams. Take a look at the research data from Friday, Aug. 27, 1999 at:

financialweb.com

We are talking about a company with a book value of 95 cents a share, that had 3.8 million dollars in revenues in 1998 (with a net loss of 31 million), and one that has an insane market capitalization of over 10 billion dollars, despite losing a billion dollars worth of market cap in the last week.

Regardless of what kind of technology that JNPR has, it is grossly overvalued and will continue to plunge as the stock markets decline. If people are bullish on the stock at these prices, and hold on to it, they will be ground into hamburger. I could easily see JNPR going below $20 a share within a year.
