Well, I am skeptical too because when the markets rose at the point of the August 24 hike, the TV talking heads mostly said 'the markets are happy because the Fed is neutral and no hike is expected in October.' Maybe I missed something. Perhaps I should watch more TV. talking heads talk and say stuff because that is what they are there for. being accurate......a whole other issue. Example. The sun comes up... the Dow opens 50pts higher... Comment "On the heels of the rising sun, the DOW rose 50 pts. this AM in early trading." The whole exercise is left for the listener to determine cause and effect. Talking heads just point out similarities.
