Millennium Announces Extension of Central Nervous System Research Collaboration With Wyeth-Ayerst - Millennium Delivers Third Candidate Gene - CAMBRIDGE, Mass., Aug. 31 /PRNewswire/ -- Millennium Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: MLNM - news) today announced that its collaboration with Wyeth-Ayerst Research, the principal pharmaceutical Research and Development division of American Home Products Corporation (NYSE: AHP - news), in the area of central nervous system (CNS) disorders will be extended for at least an additional two years. This extension is based on achievements in the first three years of the collaboration and on the expectation that Millennium's CNS research program will continue to provide important and novel drug targets to Wyeth-Ayerst over the duration of the agreement.
