ALPINE OIL SERVICES TO COMMENCE ELECTRIC LINE OPERATIONS

Mr. Rodney Hauser, President, is pleased to announce that Excell Logging & Perforating, a wholly-owned division of Alpine, will be fully operational by September 15th.. The division will operate initially out of Brooks, Alberta. However, the Company plans to increase the number of wireline units and bases over the next 12 to 18 months.

All wireline units will be equipped with advanced electronic downhole production logging and perforating tools, including tubing conveyed perforating (TCP). Each unit will have the capabilities of running Casing Collar Locators (CCL), Gamma Ray, Neutron, Temperature, Dual and Radial Bond tools, and will provide customers with high quality reliable service backed by leading edge technology.

The expansion to electric wireline services further diversifies Alpine's business within the downhole completions, workovers, drilling and production areas of energy services. Furthermore, it works well with other recent acquisitions and consolidations by the Company. Gulf Technologies International, which will be acquired by Alpine in mid-September, has developed several new perforating products that will compliment Excell's electric wireline services. Excell's services will be expanded to encompass the setting of permanent and retrievable wireline set production packer systems product lines, and production optimization utilizing through-tubing derivatives currently under development by Techcorp Industries' Inc.

The management team consists of Doug Fitzgerald, President, and Gary Eirich, Vice President Operations. Mr. Fitzgerald has over 24 years of open and cased hole experience with Halliburton in Canada. Most recently he was Canadian Operations Manager for Halliburton Logging. Gary Eirich brings 22 years of industry experience, most recently with Baker Atlas. Rudy Slaney, Sales Manager, has 20 years experience with Otis, Plains, Hartland, and most recently Baker Atlas, working in the field of slickline and electric wireline sales and operations.
