Ali - I'm amazed. This is the first polite post I have ever seen from you!! That Merced demo must have quite a shocking affect on you.

If it were just a new version of an existing architecture, like Coppermine or Athlon or even Willamette, I would agree with you, but I think you are downplaying the difficulty of integrating a new architecture, new chipset, new instruction set and new operating system. Yes system level simulations have come a long way but this is still a major achievment on what is reported to be the largest die even fabricated.
