As a long-time investor in Wi-LAN, I've always believed that Wi-LAN suffers from under exposure and being Canadian. Based on comments made by hosts on CNBC when Bid.com started trading on the NASDAQ and numerous posts on several message boards, Americans think Canadian companies are a joke and take every opportunity they can to knock them down. (No offence intended to you Marden. Clearly, you are an exception!) In fact, the CNBC commentators perpetuated Bid.com's dismal debut on the NASDAQ with snide comments always prefixed with "CANADIAN company Bid.com...".

I hope that Wi-LAN takes a leading role in WECA, hopefully transcending nationality stigmas like it transcends copper line limitations! Additionally, if Wi-LAN can close the deals with the Fortune 500 companies I believe it will get the global respect and exposure that it deserves.

Wi-LAN is an incredible investment opportunity for Americans because of the weak Canadian dollar, aka the peso of the north. ;)
