NEO!!!! I'm flabbergasted!!! How could a man who has no problem watching three hours of spreadeagled naked drug users, scenes of orgiastic partying, and a nearly naked Nicole Kidman prancing around, possibly be discomfited by the sight of a young mother discreetly nursing her baby on a plane or in a restaurant? If done properly, there are no bared breasts bouncing into your horrified field of vision, no spraying of wayward milk into your dinner plate! Indeed, one would have to be really desperate to see much of anything once the baby is attached and covered with a light shawl. I nursed both babies for ten months each. I think most women prefer a quiet private place, but given the choice of sitting on a toilet in a bathroom, I take the more relaxed chair in the public restaurant. Also a sensitive husband can shield his wife from prying eyes. I LOVE seeing nursing mothers, and I have even said something to them, if it wasn't awkward, to alleviate their possible embarrassment. THere are so many horrible behaviors we endure in public, to see this most natural and beautiful mother-child act should offend no one.
