Oh- thank goodness. I was getting all worked up to cry for you and it had a happy ending!!!
When we moved we had a cat named Turpentine who got scared by the movers, too. We couldn't find him anywhere and my father wanted to leave (we were moving from Connecticut to Virginia). He made us get in the car and I was sobbing and carrying on, and we drove away , me screaming for my cat, and there on the corner, waiting for us, was Turpentine. My father slammed on the brakes, threw the cat in the trunk, and from there all the way to Virginia that cat sobbed and made that terrible cat siren noise they make in cars. When we finally arrived, Turpentine had been sick and had diarrhea all over my father's golf clubs.
Which seemed only fair.
Tit for tat.
Shit for cat.
