Anna, the meeting is scheduled for October 20th so that's the first opportunity available for a split. The BOD could vote in a split on that day but I doubt it. Restating what's happened recently, first SNDK arranged to raise a lot of cash, then it cut a deal with the Asian giants, and soon will make more shares available.

IMHO, the best possible scenario would be for SNDK to buy Lexar AND a fab (or a piece thereof) for a combination of cash and shares. That would remove a "big question mark" (the Lexar lawsuit), consolidate SNDK's monopoly, increase market exposure, and provide a means of production to meet future needs.

A quick look at SNDK's chart could be read as a sign that something similar has been in the works since May. The recent flurry of activity could be a sign that everything is about to come together. It's all speculation but it could be an interesting Halloween for SNDK.
