The problem is that USU buys (as an agent for the U.S. government) at a price of about $89 per SWU; the going market price right now for new contracts in the the low-to-mid 80s. It was barely profitable at the higher prices and now the lower prices are eroding total corporate profitability.

I suspect that the Russian contract terms will be renegotiated, we must hope within the next 12 months as SWU prices appear to be stabilizing at current levels. If USU can get the Russians to reduce either the price or the quantities, it will be a major plus, especially as the company continues to pare its costs. Meanwhile, the basic business appears stable--not growing, mind you--and remains a huge generator of cash flow.
