No problem, Bob. What I meant by "in the business" was that I work primarily within the "ebusiness" space both from an internal strategic capacity as well as an external, venture capital capacity. When I refered to Softbank's reputation vs a CMGI, ICGE or GE Capital, I was referring to the fact that most business ventures out in the Market looking for funding are also looking for an added dimension to these relationships. Softbank is very limited in their capacity to deliver anything other than $$$, and this service is being commoditized over night. Companies that can provide resources such as service contracts, key Board Seats, key relationships and other value adds for young hungry outfits have a significant advantage over the "money only" shops such as Softbank. And because of this, the best young "diamonds in the rough" will usually avoid Softbank as they look to maximize any relationship they develop through their early stages of development.

My opinions only, as usual.
