TSO/dlo re: current mkt. thoughts, I don't like the market here at all. It seems tenuous to me at best. Seems like it sells off on the least little bit of "news". I'm very leery of the price of oil creeping up almost everyday and don't like seeing it above $22.00 this does not bode well to me.

I'm tired of CNBC and the bond moguls. Now we have to listen to the angst about the August nonfarm payrolls and unemployment numbers plus the "fear' of the Oct 5th meeting.

I don't see any need to raise rates again nor do I think Greenspan would do that so close to y2k just my HMO. In the past the 3rd. time the Fed has raised the rates it's been a real charm at putting us into a recession. I don't think that is the Fed's "job", but who knows. I don't see why they are obsessing with the stock market. People buy and sell stocks everyday and use that money throughout the economy. They think people all feel wealthy because of paper profits and I don't think this is the case. Only 20% of the population own stocks so what are the other 80% doing with their money and why doesn't the Fed worry about them? Enough of my soap box.

Cheers, Al
