Self reporting to oversight bureaucracies is little more than eyewash signifying nothing. Both reporter and reportee know it, which is part of the reason that there are are so many non-reports. It's just part of the drill. The only useful purpose a response serves is, like a ping, that you know that someone is out there. Karen
