Tolerance. Yes. You've put your finger on the sticking point (ouch!). Neo thinks that discrete breastfeeding in a public restaurant is intolerable, just as wearing a swimsuit would be, or urinating at the table would be. No tolerance for breaches of decorum.

This cannot be reconciled, without either your conceding that it's a breach of decorum, or him conceding that it's not.
