Raining already? It wasn't even September. The moss grows. The river flows. What was that river book ? You know like the cuckoo's nest? August should have been hot. It wasn't. The drizzle begins. And it goes on and on...Mt Baker to set another record? I wonder if Florence and Mapleton are much different than I remember. What was that river? The Siuslaw or something. I wonder if the old elk trails on the ridge tops are still in use. We used to walk them in our survey forays. Great woods, great canopy. All we have here for a canopy is an impossibly blue sky. I understand.
