Re: "Guaranteed by Checkfree" In practical terms CKFR is simply promising to do what it has to do anyway: make people whole financially if CKFR screws up their payments. This actually happened a few years ago to "Managing Your Money" users of CKFR. In that case it was MYM that screwed up -- a new version of their software suddenly started sending CKFR payments to the wrong billers -- the mortgage payment went to the insurance company, and so forth. MYM instantly agreed to pay all late fees and penalties that resulted. Had they NOT done so they would have been out of business, IMO.

So the way I see it, the "guaranteed" banner doesn't change CKFR's liability to any practical degree. It DOES give CKFR a visibility it would not otherwise have, and also may give newbie users a bit more confidence about taking the plunge. Altogether, a very good idea IMO.
