i would venture to say that the spot price is rising due to everyone having their inventory, including mu, tied up in contracts - which are about $3 lower. spot can be $100, but it doesn't matter if these companies don't sell to spot in quantity. i've never seen such a huge disconnect between spot and contract - this would explain it. hyping less than 5% of the business is a joke.
