I knew this would stir things up.

In the article that was posted ( foxnews.com ) the only thing I disagree with is the first paragraph. Certainly we don't bring heterosexuals into the class and grill them about their lives as heterosexuals so why should we do it with homosexuals. That should be left at home.

However, I don't see the problem with a book being brought to school that has two female parents in it. There is never a problem when the book has a heterosexual family in it.

I also don't see a problem with kids being taught not to use homosexual slurs. We don't allow our kids to run around yelling racial slurs. Why should that be different?

Those were really the only three points mentioned in the article. I don't think it was very controversial.
