And if I needed unexpectedly to nurse, I probably would ask if there was an area for nursing and if you said in very apologetic, understanding tones, no, and DIDN"T make me feel as if I'd been about to commit a felony, but asked me if I would like someplace quieter and more comfortable, I would say, "That is so NICE of you! Thank you!" Because I acknowledge that some people for whatever reasons, especially older men, find nursing embarrassing, and I try to avoid embarrassing people. HOWEVER, baby comes first, and if the restaurant has no alternative, then they really shouldn't criticize me.
Like the restaurants that have ties and jackets available... Or this lovely women's tea room in Dallas where everyone dresses up and hats are expected.. but if you show up without one, they have an entire wall covered with elegant hats, and make this lovely game out of finding one that is becoming. |
