Neocon is wrong. There are very different ways of formulating the laws of thermodynamics. In my environs it is more usual to count three laws, making the one that Neocon cited the Third Law. However, for many two do the job as well, then Neo is correct. Some (especially, as I heard, in Russia) make five laws out of the same content, and name the entropy law number five. Somebody makes it number one and tries to deduce everything (including number one in Neo's counting) from it, but that is impossible.
So you see, there is enough room for useless discussions in science (and maths!).
It is the learners moral that make math a useful thing, it is not inherent in the material.
