Jill and Teflon, That MSFT put selling is a huge story, IMHO. It tells me that MSFT expects the stock to keep going up. That is a very bullish statement. For a while i thought MSFT was getting a little "bearish" on its own stock but now there is evidence to the contrary. Last quarterly report, i did not see increases in puts outstanding from the previous quarter. I guess this time we will see the new equity puts on the September report.
Something tells me to stay in MSFT and INTEL---the heavyweights.

OT I think i had jinxed QCOM by being bullish on it. The stock is still holding up pretty well and i hope we see a last half hour resurgence--to 175 or so (i hope). I keep learning the lesson that one should limit the amount of cash put into speculative stocks like QCOM. I still average out with a slight gain from when i started buying into it--still the loss of those earlier gains is a reminder not to get too caught up in some of the smaller stocks. Limiting the amount invested in those is always a good idea.
Love MSFT more and more everyday and with the put selling, i am very pleased.

BTW---I wonder if MSFT was capitalizing on the competition among the exchanges to get the best price.<ggg> The narrowing of spreads on leaps on MSFT has definately caught my attention.
