Hmmm .. looking at today's action it would seem that the small gas producers are in need of their own OPEC. Gas prices have moved down very sharply over the last few days and my whole portfolio managed to go down $441.00 while the market itself had a strong day ... ie: my portfolio flat out did nothing today. (FGI,FLC,KEG,MEXP,OEI,TMR,VTS)

Meanwhile KMG, MRO RD and the big oily companies had a good day. Oh well, at least the big down days of last week have stopped.

Actually this action does raise a question as to whether or not the gas "shortage" is as real as we on this board believe. Could their be "cheating" by gas producers? Maybe they have been holding back production these past six months rather than sell at prices that prevailed a few months ago? What happens to a gas well's life expectancy if you choke production back say 20% for six months? Or is that shooting yourself in the foot? Could be that would have been the smart thing to do ... keep the gas in hand until prices improve rather than give it away.
