CrossKeys: World leader BT selects CrossKeys Resolve
software to manage its telecom network; BT using
CrossKeys Resolve Ni for advanced network management

KANATA, ONTARIO--CrossKeys Systems Corporation (Nasdaq: CKEY; TSE:
CKY) today announced that British Telecommunications (BT) has
selected CrossKeys Resolve(r) Ni software to manage the
performance of BT's growing networks. The sale was through Marconi
Communications Ltd., a U.K. based leader in telecommunications
solutions. This is a significant commercial deployment of
CrossKeys latest software application in the CrossKeys Resolve
portfolio.

"CrossKeys provided the best carrier-scale solution to manage the
performance of BT's multi-technology and multi-vendor network,"
said John Gorbutt, Marconi Communications BT Broadband Account
Manager.

For BT, CrossKeys Resolve Ni software will report on Asynchronous
Transfer Mode (ATM) and Frame Relay statistics drawn from
Newbridge and Cisco equipment. The contract initiates a multi-year
agreement for CrossKeys, Marconi and BT.

BT contract and project manager, M. Asif Anwar said, "Our
ambitious growth plans demand a high capacity scaleable product
and Resolve will ensure we maintain optimum levels of bandwidth
and high service availability."

"Being selected by leaders like BT and Marconi demonstrates the
business value of CrossKeys software and our maturity in the
industry," says Ian McLaren, President and Chief Executive
Officer, CrossKeys. "This is a major win for CrossKeys. It matches
our strengths in scalable, multi-vendor, multi-technology software
against the challenges offered by the complexity BT's network."

CrossKeys Resolve Ni analyses BT's network from an operations
view, allowing BT to manage network performance rather than simply
monitoring network faults or outages. With CrossKeys Resolve Ni
software, BT has a better view of telecom traffic inside its
network, allowing it to continuously improve service to its
customers and plan for future growth.

BT is one of the world's leading providers of telecommunications
services. With a market capitalization in excess of $110 billion,
it is one of the largest private sector companies in Europe. Its
principal activity is the supply of local, long distance and
international telecommunications services and equipment in the
United Kingdom, serving 27 million exchange lines. International
direct-dialed telephone service is available to more than 200
countries and other overseas territories - covering 99 percent of
the world's 800 million telephones.

Marconi Communications is a wholly owned subsidiary of GEC, a
world leader in smart broadband optical networks, access
equipment, switching technology for the Internet and network
integration. GEC's recent acquisition of US-based FORE Systems has
positioned the company to be a leading player in the new public
network and enterprise markets in addition to its established
market leadership in the carrier and operators sphere. It has
sales to more than 140 countries, a major presence in Europe, the
USA, Africa and the Asia-Pacific Region.
