uncle frank..."gorilla games and option plays"
let me offer an opinion for your consideration. as you correctly stated "gorilla gaming is a lt buy and hold play".....concur completely. but in such a venue as this thread, the active participants aren't true buy and hold types, if they were they would have qcom stock certs in a safe deposit box.
you encourage real people, with real emotions to buy that which the thread gives a thumbs up on....fine, but you can't conclude on the needs of all who follow the thread....what is buy and hold...one year, five years, forever, or until cash out for home, childrens education, emergencies....gotta consider this uncle frank...real world. sure many qcom folks are licking their wounds today...i've had thread participants tell me buying qcom leaps is a no brainer....games aside frank, not as easy all the time to make the profits as qcom recently...but you see how swiftly it can be wrenched from the hands of prosperity. perhaps qcom buyers at 196 on margin, will get calls...there goes the g+k game.....reality frank, reality...
your thread..will abide, but remember the market today not as days past, lot of liquidity and trading.......a lot generated by options...again reality....hedges so high you can't see over them...leaps are a good leading indicator of a gorilla...when the prems flatten, maybe no longer a gorilla....can speak of companies as gorilla's..........stock as gorilla has at times nothing to do with the company.....absurd as it sounds but true.....what happened to qcom no surprise....question is how does it go forward, does it act like dell/niles or surge again...options can give you an indication...
good luck my friend..ed a.
p.s...you compare intc, msft with qcom....not yet in the same league...caution and prudence as the little ape grows doesn't hurt... |
