Ah yes, a bear market. I can hear the coverage now...... >>The market churned lower today by 88 points to 3454. Fears of rising unemployment along with a less robust NAPALM report drove traders to close out positions in the high flying consumer non-durables sector. MO closed @ $15, down 1/8 was the volume leader on the big board. Over on the Nasdaq, volume was heavy as 300 million shares changed hands led by shares of Dell computer. The world's largest internet appliance maker's shares closed down a half to $6 1/4 on fears that Sunbeam would introduce a combination pc/heating blanket that would steal market share. <<
