Actually, I don't think that there is any one cause. There are more likely a lot of factors, including the light volume, continued strong subscriber gains and the upcoming launch, each of which is playing a role in the recent gains.
The last I heard on the launch, by the way, will be September 10th, sometime after midnight.
As I remember, the stock continued to rise with the launch of Echo I, but by Echo IV it became the classic buy on rumor sell on news scenario...
Finally, this bird will give them the extra bandwidth they need at 110 for the DISH 500 - the 500 channel DISH programming package. Currently, I believe DISH moved their bird from 148 to cover 110 with temporary operating authority until Echo V can get into position...
