Amen:

After digesting the Everen Securities report and trying to chase down what else might be occurring, I asked what I believe is most fundamental to QCOM at this point in time:

Has Everen provided any information to suggest that anything has come forward to displace Q's cutting edge technology, CDMA! Is there any info to suggest that the next generation GSM will not be based on CDMA? The answer was "NO", and so I bought again! I will confess that the depth of the drop in Q raised concerns in my mind that some consortium of competitors were about to announce a challenge to Qs technology!Well, that did not materialize and the only doubts that were revealed were doubts that Q has the ability to exceed 4Q expectations to the degree that they have done so for the past few quarters. I enjoy a bit of trading now and then, but Q is in the category of those stocks that one cannot afford to be without, and so I simply bought rather than tried to trade. For now, CDMA remains on track to become the next generation wireless standard and nothing revealed by today's gut wrenching price action has changed that very real possibility!
