Hi CRay33,

I've done only minimal dd on QCOM, but I am considering buying QCOM over the next month or so (currently 100% cash). I have 2 elementary questions:

1) I assume that T's TDMA is a competitor to CDMA. What incentives (if any) are there for T to adopt CDMA's technology in the future?

2) In what respects (if any) are the "next generation" CDMA platform more advantageous as compared to current or future GSM platform? GSM standard is entrenched in Europe, and majority of Asia appears to be favoring GSM (with China as HUGE wildcard) ... so how can the "next generation" CDMA platform thwart GSM's current numerical (number of users) advantage?

If anybody has any words of wisdom, I would greatly appreciate any insight.

Regards,
