Dan, ... I would like to remind you that the "important" part of the Compuserve program was inside the Windows folders. It was called a windsock.

Compuserve had the adacity to go into the windows folder and change the winsock that MSFT had developed. Cserve called it an improvement. When MSFT went to 32 bit it produced a better version of winsock and put it in their own folder. Where I may add it belongs and is appropriate.

Cserve could have put their winsock into their own folder. Ask why didn't they? Why would one company go into another companies folder and change a key program ... only to create problems.
