World Media Give Prominent Coverage For Sudanese Petroleum Exportation

World news agencies, TV channels and radio stations Monday gave
extensive coverage to the launching of the Sudanese petroleum
exportation and the departure of the first ship loaded with 600,000
barrels of crude oil from Bashair sea port bound for Singapore.The Saudi
Press Agency, reporting the news, pointed out to the fact that the oil
was purchased by Shell oil company and that it would be followed by two
shipments to each of Korea and Chili. The Saudi agency referred to the
dignitaries and officials who attended the celebrations.

The Middle East Broadcasting Centre TV channel, commenting on the departure
of the ship, said Sudan has now become member of the oil exporting countries
club and that the exportation of Sudanese oil would reflect positively on the
national economy.The United Press International (UPI) has meanwhile
quoted the Minister for Energy and Mining, Dr Awad Ahmed Al-Jaz, as
underlining that the share of the government in the exported oil stand
at 40 percent.

In the meantime, the German News Agency (DPA) said Sudanese President
Omer Al-Bashir attended the departure of the ship carrying the first
Sudanese oil consignment and that the ship was bound for Singapore.

DPA pointed out that the pipeline carrying this oil from the production
fields to the export terminal of Bashair stretches over some 1,610
kms.The Gezira TV Channel said Sudanese President Omer Al-Bashir
inaugurated the exportation of the Sudanese petroleum as a ship loaded
with 600,000 barrels of crude left Bashair port on the Red Sea to
Singapore.The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) said a number of
high level delegations from various countries took part in the
celebrations marking the exportation of the Sudanese petroleum.The BBC
said the exportation of the oil was a dream that became true.
