Tom, you were right. Just the lockup which ended early. 12-Aug-99 AFTER THE CLOSE Brocade Communications Systems Inc. (BRCD) 129 5/8 +10 1/8: supplier of Fibre Channel fabric solutions posts a a fiscal Q3 net of $0.06 a share, two cents better than the First Call mean, vs year-ago loss of $0.46; net revenues rose 339% to $20.1 mln; company also announces that Morgan Stanley Dean Witter has agreed to an early release of the underwriters' lock-up restrictions on up to 2.3 million shares; stock to be available for sale no earlier than Wednesday, August 18 Look at the volume for the stock the following week. Normally trades around 400k, but 3days of successive 1mln+ vol (8/20,8/23,8/24). fwiw, I'd say that was a good chunk of it hitting the market. x
