Michael, in societies all over the world, most crimes are committed by young men who are either fatherless or very poor and undereducated, neglected or abused. The difference is that in America these young men are heavily armed with guns, while in other societies they make do with less lethal weapons, and commit less serious crimes for the most part.

So while you have a point to make, it is a better argument for widespread, voluntary legal abortion, rather than for continuing to make access to lethal weapons very easy.
