You've still got a lock on Sony and Nintendo, and Intel will keep trying for while on Rambus. If the costs come way down, quickly, Rambus could come back.

dan,
you certainly have a way with words.
let us discuss your points for a change...
nintendo 64 uses 4mb of rambus rdram. rambus a profitable company has been making a living off of n64 for 5 years. nintendo 2000 will use 32mb of rdram..that is an 8x increase in nintendo revenues for rambus. remember royalties have not changed.
sony playstation does not use rambus now. the new playstation to be announced on sept 17 uses 32mb of rambus rdram. playstation has approx the same market share as nintendo(maybe more). so we get a 16x royalty revenue increase just from games next year.

did you forget...we still have a lock on dell and cpq and ibm too. did you figure out the royalties on 40% of dell workstations. that is 30% of dell's sales...rambus gets 30% of dell's total sales. and that is just for starters.

did you forget all my drips and splashes too? i find it most peculiar that you only listed 2 locks. do you think pixelfusion and the others are going to switch to pc133? LOL

and where do you see rambus coming back from? intel annointed rambus the pack leader all week.
