Do you know anything about accounting? Assets are recorded at historical costs on the balance sheet.

btw, who says that it is worth 7-10MM? If and when it is ever sold, the difference between what the assets are on the books at, and the sale price will be recorded as an extraordinary gain.

Given the cloud hanging over 425 Carrall Street, I very much doubt that a sale will be quick. There are numerous contingent liabilities which would give anyone numerous concerns. IMO, if a quick sale were to take place, it would be at a fire sale price.
