GBIX - On-site Investigation/Inspection/Research -- part 2: Security of Operations
I'll have to do these items one at a time, as I have time, and in no particular order vs starting at the high level and working down.
Security - very good 1. Across from police station - if need help
  2. At entrance, need security card, must sign in, small elevator so if someone in the building that shouldn't be, limited options on where to go
  3. Identix fingerprint detection system - my finger didn't work
  4. Video cameras in each room on each floor
  5. All computer equipment, servers, etc. are NOT labelled - prevents sabotage of any particular co's equipment
  6. Cages (rem this bus is outsourcing the connection & server, etc and like renting space for a server) are steel mesh for the plug and play line of business. Other web-hosters operate in the same manner.
AND for the customized solutions line of business, the cages are much taller and are solid steel vs mesh.
  7. An employee of each co that is using GBIX has access to their server, but must first pass rigourous security clearance AND the contract indicates the customer is liable for any damage done by the customer's designated rep that has access to GBIX's building
  8. In addition to security on the lower floor, their are teams of operators on the floor where the equipment resides - this is in addition to security cameras.
Looks good from a security viewpoint, especially GBIX's patented encasings where sabotage is all but eliminated. |
