John, You don't think kids are involved when it comes to gun control? What makes you believe that ending a bad marriage is more harmful to kids than the threat of guns? There are many instances where two people just make a mistake and ending that mistake via divorce is a positive for the entire family. I read an article recently wherein it stated that many inner city children actually suffer from stress equivalent to people who have been in combat. Much of that is due to the proliferation of guns in our society. If you want your freedoms impinged, that is a much better place to start IMO. The freedom to enter into or end relationships is a much greater inalienable right than owning a firearm or waiting a week to own a firearm, IMO. Mark If you don't want to meddle with rights given in the BOR, I think many people would argue that a right to divorce would fall under the rights to pursue happiness.....
