I had a different experience. My username existed and I just typed in the correct password. Perhaps though, Sun should use the same type of 'forgot password' thing that other sites use (if they don't already).

The $10 is a 'cost of media' charge. If it's like Solaris 7, there are 3 or 4 CDs in a package. $10 is a reasonable charge. The arranged electrons are free. That you have a slower connection to the internet is not a fault of Sun.

If you can't wait the 5 days (which is what the site actually says), you might start a download before you go to bed. When you wake up (as I did thismorning), it's there.

I did that. I clicked through the wizard driven installation. It's wonderful. It's happening, and it's available to YOU in the exact same way. That you want or need Ed Zander to personally drive it over to your house for you, I don't quite follow.
