etail - i am not a long-term fan of etail at this juncture; margins are thin, competition is fierce and branding is weak in all but two or three stocks (amzn, cdnw) i also think that better ways of using the internet to buy things exists with companies like ebay, priceline and, maybe more so paul allen's mercata and the privately-held accompany.com the bar has been raised for what the internet and selling can do and i think 3 things are key: 1) use the computing power of the pc 2) use the distributed value of the internet 3) create new models based on 1 + 2 above
