HOW?
A "PLAY" ON GOLD
scripted by Fantasy Island Possibilities
disclaimer: this is of course only a "play" and could never happen
and would have no relation to any persons or entity's in existence
ACT #1 SCENE#1
BULLON BANK BAR
........
"Gentlemen, consider this, the kids running the Central Banks find Gold to be a real pain in their derrieres. They have to be concerned about it all the time, while they go about flooding the world with their paper. If they could get it out of the picture ,they could, as long as they act in unison ,print all the money they want. Also, they think they should be making money on their Gold assets and are willing to lease all anybody wants at very, very attractive rates.
I suggest, we take advantage of these kids, lease their GOLD, sell it, and invest the profits. We'll refer to it as the GOLD CARRY TRADE. As the gold floods the market, we'll be insured of a great profit on our investments and capital gains if we ever have to buy it back at lower prices.
(J.P. RISES OUT OF HIS CHAIR) "Great idea G.S., profits there for sure. I have one problem. I'm on the board of T.H. .A large part of our assets are held in a major gold stock B.G. were looking at mobilizing those assets to fund a huge real estate expansion program. If we proceed with the Gold Carry Trade, gold falls and along with it the market value of our B.G. assets."
(G.S. RESPONDS) "No problem J.P., just go to the board of T.H. tell them what we intend to do, and suggest they do the same with B.G.. This will secure their asset value of B.G. shares. Since T.H. has the largest block of B.G. shares and can control policy, they should have no problem convincing B.G.'S board that they should institute a hedgeing program. This will in fact help us by lowering the price of spot gold, instill fear in the other producers allowing us to lean on them to do the same. B.G. will also have the cash and opportunity to acquire great properties at dirt cheap prices. I see no problem there.
I'll tell you what, tell T.H. we'll help them get very reasonable financing for their expansion if they will put up their B.G shares for collateral as convertible debt. Say 30 million, to insure their control of B.G's board. We will then help them sell say 28 million B.G. shares through installments, make 6 million outright sales. If we get control of the 6 million B.G shares, we can use them to play the gold stock index, prevent any divergence and make a lot of dough trading opposite to our comex trades. Hell, we can confuse the whole gold market so much, it'll make no sense at all, and demoralize it completely. Anyway go over to P.M. AND B.M and run it buy them. We might be able to help them out in T.H's expansion, not only through reasonable financing, but aiding them in insuring some long term leases for their office buildings. We have friends in government and with their expansion in the financial centres and Washington D.C. ,good lease rates and high occupancy on long term leases, will insure their growth and expansion.
