Pomp,

Hey Dave: Don't you get the feeling that even the anti-Rambus arguments from the resident bears have weakened lately? Maybe I am just being Pollyannaish again, but it sure seems like the sceanario for Rambus rollout is now settled, and all the spooky stuff did not happen. Intel is firm in its support and now we just gotta get the price down and ZOOOM.

Let me think about that...

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I consider the comeback at the end of the day a wonderful thing. We may still trade up and down in a range here for a while, but I was concerned the floor would drop today and keep going for a while. It didn't happen. A lot of buyers (including me) stepped up to the plate. If that's the extent of the reaction to the "bad news", then we'll be okay.

I suspect that the Dell comments helped as much as the Intel support. It's one thing to for Intel to say "we're going to build it" (meaning the chipset), it's another thing altogether for Dell to say "we're going to buy it and it'll be half of our DRAM purchases next year."

Now if we can just get the Nasdaq to crash, we'll skyrocket (Naz down, RMBS up <g>).

Dave
