I just dropped a line to they guy who posted this to csy2k with the text of Fielder's reply to you confirming that he was quoted by Scary Gary accurately. <ggg>
>>>I thought I recognized the writing syle and general cluelessness, it's GN.

I have used Feidler's product, Check2000, in it's Japanese version so I know that a couple hundred desktops in Japan ARE being remediated.
I'm not sure if a lot of organizations are doing Feidler's five levels including Excel data content [e.g. the notorious DATE() function] as well as 'cut & paste' problems, but they certainly have checked their hardware, bios, and version of Microsoft products.
I'm not knocking Karl, I like his product, but his press release IS an advertisement.
The posting TITLE and the "quotes" that appear to be attributed to Feidler are not found in his press release. Only Gary North "fact" number 2 could be based on the release. The rest are fabrication, fantasy, or come from some other article GN "forgot" to mention. Berlin????
BTW: Since I am still looking for real leading edge Y2K failures, I checked GN's categories. He doesn't have one for ACTUAL failures. Isn't that odd?
