If Intel is so important to RMBS and RMBS is going to be such a dominant factor in the growth of high
performance, Why do you think Intel is not making an effort to acquire them?


Intel lost their shirt in the DRAM market in the mid 80's and bailed out of that business, probably forever (if there is such a thing as forever in the electronics business). They won't touch any DRAM company, even Rambus, with a ten foot pole. Also, the "why buy the cow when you can get the milk a lot cheaper" theory applies. FWIW, the fact that Rambus, even with their patents and royalties, is still a DRAM company, has kept it out of my portfolio. Too commodity for me.
