Tsaen, the current estimates are woefully low. Yahoo shows $1.50 as the high.

Several times I have posted a rather detailed computation of how to get to $2. A rather easy way is to take Akins' projections of the Y2K laser market and multiply by CYMI's margins in June '97, the last quarter before the downturn. Make a few small adjustments for current expenses, divide by 33 mil shares (a conservative number even assuming all of the converts are converted) and you get over $2.

Don't forget, fabs are straining at capacity, foundries are raising prices, and 300mm is on the way. Cymer's estimates are headed higher. This can clearly be seen in the superb relative strength exhibited by Cymer in the recent semi equip selloff.

Let's come back and look at my previous post after earnings.
