Thanks Dude. There are several companies on my list. I got rid of REIN for a nice gain recently.

Here are my holdings:
1. CUNO - The most complete filter company left on the block. PG bought REIN last week. I wonder if PG and Clorox(Brita's parent company) are thinking about CUNO. CUNO can be chopped into 2 or 3 pieces for sale. My estimation is in the low to mid $30 range.

2. CCC - Just got a big push by First Security Van Kasper. But, I think it is a long shot. This company is a gem waiting to be found. They have a lot of potential, however, the strong US dollar allowed too much cheap foreign import to enter this country. Their business is under a lot of pressure. The new CEO is fixing up these problems. A long term pick.

3. CWCO - It is very thinly traded and not easy to find info. Too speculative. But, I am taking a risk with a small holding. No hurry to buy.

There are some other companies such as ION and OSM. Both are great companies, however, they need to get their acts together to show some good earning growth. Other filter companies such as PLL and MIL, both are first class and much bigger companies. Both will grow, however, they are dragged down by weak Asian and European economy.

CUNO is the only one left for the take over play in the short term, imho. However, I do not buy it because of this reason. The single most critical factor is that they dominated the appliance filter business which will earn big profit from replacement cartridges over and over again. Those appliance companies worked very hard to push such kind of option to earn extra money which can bringing in extra profit year after year, after the appliance is sold. It is most likely a European company buy up CCC. This is probably the real reason why Van Kasper push it so hard. This is just my guesses. I guess something big is going on.

I hope my 2 cents can be your reference for your entertainment. Good luck.

Sincerely,
Wade
