for those of you who think that an investor going in with LS on his cement scheme might get f***ed here's an absolute indication that you're probably right - look carefully at the name of the Indonesian government-owned cement industry:
"JAKARTA, Sept 2 (Reuters) - Indonesia's Ministry of State Enterprises said on Thursday it had obtained a
proposal from Mexico cement maker Cemex to increase its stake in Indonesian state cement firm PT Semen
Gresik . ``Yes, something like that, but we still have no decision yet on that matter,' said deputy minister of state
enterprises Herwidayatmo told Reuters in an interview.

And it appears that other countries have great confidence in the US's cement industry as it's presently constituted: one foreign firm (Australian) is going to build it's 5th U S plant and another (a German company) is buying the leading producer, Lone Star industries, for $1.3Billion...seems as if they haven't heard of LS's press releases or else these things wouldn't be going forward, right? In fact, the James Hardie stock symbol is, editorially perhaps, HAH!

Keeping the screwing allusion going the German outfit's name is Dyckerhoff and you know that sometimes Y is pronounced as if it were the letter I.

"James Hardie plans 5th U.S. cement plant (Reuters)
SYDNEY, Sept 2 (Reuters) - Building materials group James Hardie Industries Ltd (Australia: HAH.AX - news )said on Thursday it would build its fifth U. S ... cement plant..."
